A 60 Second Practice to Re-center and Ground in Your Power

This simple and powerful practice will help you to re-center and ground into your power. Anytime you notice old, heavy, disempowered beliefs, thoughts, habits, etc. popping into your awareness, watch this video or walk yourself through your own visualization.

Part of the magic here is that you to visit, with all of your senses, a beautiful, peaceful Nature place in your mind’s eye. You may want to bookmark this video to revisit as needed, or use your own imagery and words.

I've noticed that as I continue to take massive leaps towards what it is that I truly DESIRE for myself and my life, I can sometimes find myself in sudden feelings of self doubt, anxiety, fear, and sometimes even panic.

While I like to be 100% present with those feelings to honor them and hear what they're trying to tell me, I also recognize the power of receiving their messages, honoring them, and letting them go.

Since our energetic body can heal and integrate change faster than our physical body, our brain and body can lag behind, not realizing that it's okay to release those old thoughts, beliefs, patterns, etc. It's been said that our brains can become addicted to certain thoughts or emotions, but with some work, we can change this. This is neuroplasticity.

things to know

PLEASE DO NOT only rely on a practice like this though to shift your energy though- you also need to get to the root of the thoughts/feelings/beliefs/patterns too.

We don't want to spiritually bypass what our soul is crying for us to pay attention to. We need to honor, hear, and heal what those things are trying to tell us in order to actually make real, lasting change in our lives. My favorite ways to do this are: take shamanic journeys, sit in ceremony, connect with Nature, meditate, and move my body to music. See my offerings here to join for journeys and ceremonies.

That said, you can use this practice to shift your energy until you have the opportunity to sit with what's coming up for you, just remember to take the time to actually do the work at some point in the not-so-distant future.

Since our brains and bodies can lag behind our spiritual and energetic bodies when it comes to healing, sometimes we need a practice like this to remind our physical being that it's okay to let that old stuff go. A practice like this can help us sweep away old neural pathways while laying and strengthening new ones.

my mantra

Here are the words that have come to me for this practice, and you can use them verbatim, or you can take them as inspiration to create your own mantra.

There is no right or wrong here. The key is that your imagery and words elicit a strong, positive emotion that aligns with what you want to welcome into your life.

It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s okay.

Let it go, let it go, let it go.

Wash it away, wash it away, wash it away.

Release, release, release.

You are loved, you are loved, you are loved.

You are supported, you are supported, you are supported.

Be, be, be.

~with love,
