This year, I feel called to deepen my connection with my home through ritual and intentional connection.
For 15 years, this space has been a witness to my life—the highs, the lows, and everything in between. But I’ll admit, I haven’t always treated it with the love it deserves. When I bought this house in my 20s, my life was, well, a but chaotic. Some tough experiences left me feeling disconnected, even resentful, toward my home. For a long time, I saw it as failing to keep me safe, but in truth, I was struggling to keep myself safe. (More on that later.)
Looking back, I see now that my home has always been here, holding space for me, even when I couldn’t fully see or feel it.
This year, I want to go beyond gratitude—I want to nurture the energy of this home, to honor it as a sanctuary. While Nature will always be a significant spiritual refuge (it’s been my safe haven for as long as I can remember), I’m ready to deepen my connection with the spirit of the spaces I inhabit daily.
Our homes hold energy. I believe they have spirit and intelligence of their own. I believe that all spaces do, actually. I’m ready to listen, to nurture, and to build a deeper relationship with this space that has held and supported me all these years.
