A Guided Healing Shamanic Journey Is..

A guided shamanic journey is both similar to, yet very different from a guided meditation.

Shamanic journeying is an active practice, and I guide journeys in a way that opens a safe, pristine, calm, healing space for you to intentionally ask your spirit guides (and/or well as Spirit / God / Universe / Oneness / Divine / etc), for the information, wisdom, guidance, and healing that you are ready to receive as you seek to grow and evolve as a human.

Oftentimes, all of this good stuff comes through in a beautiful, joyful, peaceful way. Sometimes the journey unfolds in a way that asks you to roll up your sleeves and do the work you need to do so that you can create the changes that you wish to see in your life. This is probably the biggest reason why most people in the West turn to shamanic journeying- to intentionally change their lives (and often in specific ways).

Many people feel a sense of lightness, clarity, and empowerment during and after these guided journeys, although this is a very personal practice, and your experience will likely reflect where you are in life at this time. I think those of us that take shamanic journeys regularly will have a wide range of experiences to tell you about. Some journeys are extremely peaceful, loving, and joyful, some are like receiving intense teachings from our spirit guides. Some journeys can feel like very serious and powerful initiations.

It's important to remember that journeys are often metaphorical, that you are always safe and in control, and that however your journey unfolds, that you are being loved and supported by your guides and that Divine force (whatever you know that force to be).

After our journey, you'll have time to share, ask questions, and/or to receive interpretation support if you like. I will share some groups and resources that can support you as you ponder this journey, as well as future journeys and shamanic experiences.

While I guide your journey, I'll also use a hoop drum at a beat of about 220 BPM, which has been proven to induce a theta brainwave state. Theta brain waves, present in both sleep and deep meditation, transport us to a realm of vivid dreams, heightened intuition, and expanded consciousness. They nurture our intuition, spark creativity, open the doors to rewiring neural connections, and reconnect us with our natural essence. This state is also known as the flow state zone.

Bring

  • Journal and pen

  • If you want to join the potluck, please bring a dish to share

  • Optional: yoga mat and/or blanket to lay on the floor to journey

  • Optional: an eye covering (this can be helpful for blocking out light as we journey)

  • Optional: This is a free event, but donations are GREATLY appreciated

Got Kids?

Kids that are ready to journey (or sit quietly to draw or color) are welcome. Spiritually in-tune kids as young as 5 have successfully journeyed with us several times.

If you’re not sure how your child will respond, please grab a spot near the door in case you need to exit early. You’re welcome to hang out and wait for the group to join you in the dining area until the journey wraps up.

A special thanks

Thank you, McFarland United Church of Christ, for helping me to keep this event affordable by gifting us the use of your lovely space!

MUCC is a church where “All are welcome here. We play and pray together in old ways and new. We love to make music, and we believe in its power to inspire….”

… and it’s true! I have felt SO welcomed by everyone I’ve met in the congregation.

Thank you, MUCC for your continued support for me as I share shamanic experiences and fire ceremonies in your space, with your community, and with anyone and everyone that wants to join.
