Field Trip: Farley Center Earth Art Exhibit Tour, Art Market, Music & Food

  • The Farley Center 2299 Spring Rose Road Verona, WI, 53593 United States (map)

My intention with these field trips is to strengthen our community by bringing people together in a more social way. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you’ve joined us for ceremony or classes previously.

If you’re new to the group, I’d love to meet you, so please come introduce yourself!

about the field trip

The Farley Center is a VERY neat place. I visited the last Earth Art Exhibition and it was FABULOUS!

12:45pm: Let’s find each other where the tour will begin.

1pm: The Farley Center will lead a tour of their Earth Connections Land Art Exhibit. Many of the artists will be present to share about their work.

After the tour, we can hang out and chat, check out the market, catch some tunes, and walk the trails. It’s hard to say what time our group will wrap up, but the festivities go until 5pm. I’ll plan to hang out until 3:30 or 4pm.

DABL Art Market

The Farley Center will also be hosting “Dane Arts Buy Local Art Market”, where variety of artists (including 9 of the Earth Connection artists) will display and sell their art. "It will be a fun arts festival including music and food! Bring the whole family to for this outdoor celebration.”

From the Farley Center’s website:

“Land art, also known as Earth art, and environmental art is created by artists who use the materials of the Earth including for instance, the soil, rocks, branches, trees, vegetation, water and other natural, non-toxic materials.

The Farley Center supports these types of installations on our land to highlight the beauty, value and necessity to think about how we view and use the land. Our artists help raise the discussion of what is toxic and what do we mean by the word “decompose.” What has to change in the way we work in order to sustain the Earth and all of us that live on it in healthy ways.”
